KTS Recycling is proud to help promote two upcoming children’s waste education sessions being held at local libraries in partnership with Knox City Council.
The free “Waste Not, Want Not” sessions, presented by the Little Sprouts Program, are designed for young children and their families, combining storytime with fun, hands-on waste and recycling activities.
Through games, music and creative crafts, children will learn about reducing waste, recycling correctly and caring for the environment in simple and engaging ways.
The sessions will explore:
- What waste and rubbish are
- Different materials that make up waste
- Where waste comes from
- What to do with items we no longer need, use or want
- Everyday ways to reduce, reuse, repair and recycle
These interactive sessions are designed to help children understand how small actions can make a big difference in keeping our environment healthy for the future.
